Our Story
Get to Know Us
RCCG City Of Light was inaugurated on the 6th April 2004 at Rochester Garden Hotel, 41 Road Festac with Pastor Olorunfumilayo Adeniyi as the pioneer Pastor, Tony Effah as the assistant Pastor and four workers. Barely three months after commissioning, the church moved to 1st Avenue, W Close Festac Town on a thanksgiving Sunday. The building was barely usable; sand filling was done the same day and its first service commenced afterwards with 10 members. The attendance rose to 45 members within three months. Pastor Olorunfumilayo Adeniyi handed the mantle of leadership over to the late Pastor Agbajue in 2009.
The present leadership of Pastor Sunday Avoseh and Pastor Sam Okunsebor took over in January 2012 with about 100 members, including about 30 workers.In its 20 years existence, City of Light has multiplied in attendance to about 2400 members.COL has 10 altar ministers and 150 workers.
Our Programs
The Church stands out with its power packed and life transforming programs which include
Good Morning HolySpirit
An early morning Prayer program which started in 2014. This has indeed been a life changing program that attracts people from different denominations and all walks of life. The program holds 6am to 7am daily in the Church auditorium.
Davidic Praise
A seven-day praise program which started in 2012 and has attracted A list Gospel artistes like Chioma Jesus, late Sammy Okposo, Nathaniel Bassey, Bukola Bekes, Tope Alabi.
21 Day Vigil
The annual 21 days vigil which started in 2012 is a testament of God's faithfulness. The outpour of blessings from this program cannot be over emphasized.
The CSR (Christian Social Resposibility)
The CSR (Christian Social responsibility) which started in 2012 has been a blessing to members and the neighbourhood. The CSR activities include:-CSR Evangelism Breakfast every third Saturday of the month. -Lunch for members every first Sunday of the month. About 1,400 full meal is served to members and visitors.-Provision of raw food items every third Sunday of the month.

City of Light does not only preach about growth and expansion but it is evident in its laudable role in church planting. It has birthed several parishes either alone or in partnership with other parishes.

5. RCCG City of Greatness, 401 Road, Festac Town.
6. RCCG Higher Ground, Old Ojo Road.
7. RCCG Treasure Place, Iba New Site.
8. RCCG City of Wonders, Isheri White Sands.
City of Light is a home for miracles, signs, wonders and testimonies. The members are welcoming, the ambience is cosy, the worship, word and time of fellowship is pure and sublime. We are small enough to know you but big enough to accommodate you.
